Application numbers rise!

Another year has passed and the American Medical College Application Service deadline is closed for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville for 2013-14.

The good news is we had a record number of applications with a total of 2,745. This is an increase from 2,400 in 2012 and 1,400 in 2011 during our first year. We expect these AMCAS application numbers to continue to rise each year as our school continues to grow. As many know, applying to medical school is becoming increasingly more competitive. Here at the School of Medicine Greenville we still expect to interview about 325 applicants this year to fill the class size of 75 students.

The Admissions Committee is still actively reviewing applications and we will continue interviewing for next fall until the end of March.

Please remember our Supplemental Application deadline is not due until Jan. 15, 2014.  If you have applied, but have not completed your supplemental application, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Interview slots will remain available until our supplemental deadline passes.

If you have any updates to your application or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us in the Office of Admissions. We are always happy to help!
