Friendship

Medical school is tough – I couldn’t do it without friendship. My friends come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors from all over the place. My friends are new, old, medical, non-medical, nearby, far away, younger, older, kinder, meaner, smarter, faster, prettier, more fashionable,  scientists, poets, dreamers, power players, starving artists and everything in between. They include friends from college, roommate friends, friends from old jobs, hometown friends, friends from medical school, and others I’ve been randomly blessed to meet along the way. They’re patient with me, loving, fun, always up for laughs, and most importantly: supportive of my dreams to become a physician. I appreciate their daily inspiration and I couldn’t have made it this far without them. Friends are always in the background helping me learn how to be a healthier woman and future physician. Here’s looking forward to the celebrations, adventures, and other special moments in 2014.  Special thanks to all of those friends behind the scenes making this possible!
